The Shanghai club expects the 23-year-old attacking midfielder to improve their firing power upfront.
"Dai will bring more options to the team's attack. He is also good at set-pieces. His joining will effectively enhance Shenhua's attacking methods and quality," the Shanghai side said in a statement.
Dai sat out the first 12 rounds of the 2023 CSL campaign due to a dispute with his former club Shenzhen FC over unpaid wages.
He was permitted to leave the Shenzhen club as a free agent after the Chinese Football Association arbitrated in the dispute in his favor earlier this month.
