The Chinese Film Festival opened on Wednesday at the Yugoslavian Cinematheque in Belgrade, bringing some of the most popular Chinese modern film productions to Serbian filmgoers for the first time.
The festival was organized by the Yugoslavian Cinematheque in cooperation with China Film Archive and the Chinese Embassy in Serbia.
Among the movies are also crime drama and thriller "Cliff Walkers" (2021) by internationally acclaimed director Zhang Yimou, as well as "My People, My Country" (2019), in which seven directors including renowned Chen Kaige present a chronicle of technological and cultural achievements during seven decades since the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The Chinese Film Festival is another hallmark of the prosperous film cooperation -- an important part of the cultural cooperation -- between Serbia and China, the Yugoslavian Cinematheque said in a press release.
